Rowlandsfield Primary School is a public school with sixty four (64) students in infant one through to sixth grade. We are located in the rural hills of Rowlandsfield, the eastern section of St. Thomas.
Located in the small rural community of Spring Garden (St. Thomas), our student population consists primarily of kids living in the tight-knit community. The school enjoys a close relationship with community. Mirroring the community, we are a small school with one class per grade, ranging from Infant to Grade 6.

The school was established in 1881 by the Methodist Church and presently serves students age 3 to 12 years. Many of the community members are farmers or day workers. The area has been heavily mined for bauxite and since the closer of one plant economic growth in the communities which feed the school has been significantly affected.

We are a small rural school located in the community of Effortville with two hundred students on roll. WE are approximately located two miles in an east north easterly direction from the town of May Pen. The majority of our 'stars' live in the community of Effortville.We have students from Porus, Frankfield, Woodside and Sandy Bay.

We earned a Satisfactory rating in the 2025 NEI report. With high unemployment amongst parents and many children raised by grandparents, 83 students are supported by PATH. We seek urgent assistance to repair our perimeter fence, establish a much needed resource room, and acquire a school bus to improve safety, access, and learning opportunities.

Despite these challenges, the school continues to perform well academically and partners with all stakeholders.

Ashley Primary is located at Ashley District in Clarendon. We have 90 students who are currently enrolled. The school is very small and homely. We have a strong relationship with the community and most of the students are from the area. We are in a farming community where most of the parents are farmers. The students come to school daily with the intention of getting a good and solid education. Sitting at the helm is the principal Debbie Burgess-Scafe with her 7 members of academic staff and four support staff. The school has a library and a canteen which prepares hot meals for the students. We are currently seeking assistance with a commercial stove and some paints for the inner part of the classrooms.

It has a capacity for 250 students, but has a student body of 100 in the primary and 36 in the Infant Department. The school has a small computer lab, canteen, and library, catering to a diverse range of socio-economic backgrounds.

The Treasure Beach Women's Group Benevolent Society (TBWG) is a grassroots organization dedicated to empowering women, supporting youth, and strengthening families in Treasure Beach. We provide skills training in sewing, tye-dye, basket weaving, batik, and other creative enterprises, along with personal development workshops that build confidence, leadership, and customer relations. TBWG also operates a community craft shop, giving local artisans a space to showcase and sell their work. Guided by an inclusive, participatory approach, we believe that when women thrive, the entire community prospers. In the past 10 years, TBWG has helped 1,000 individuals achieve. Lileth Lynch, for example is one of our spotlight story. She was training in one of our program with TPDCO Tour guide, and today she runs Treasure Beach Walking Tour, supporting herself and inspiring others in the community. Stories like hers drive our mission forward.
Tide Rising Art Projects is a collective of three arts professionals who have their base in Jamaica. Oneika Russell is a visual artist, art educator and cultural producer and is also the founder and current team leader. Petrina Dacres who leads curatorial projects, is head of the Art History department at The Edna Manley College, an arts researcher and independent curator. Danielle Russell who is an independent filmmaker and creative projects manager and leads our film projects and project advisor. Our work focuses on the promotion and encouragement of Caribbean contemporary art practices through curatorial projects, video content, virtual talks and workshops.
The Wattle and Red Earth (WARE) Collective is a not-for-profit organization founded in response to the rapid loss of traditional buildings in Jamaica and craft heritage; structures and artifacts of utility and beauty which hold within them the knowledge, resilience, and creativity of generations past, a cultural legacy that shapes who we are today. Over the last 6.5 years, we have helped over 650 direct beneficiaries, including primary school students, educators, traditional building apprentices, architecture students and volunteers have enjoyed educational and cultural events at the WARE Living Museum site.

Established as a Boys Home in 1960, St. John Bosco (SJB) Vocational Training Centre provides high-quality vocational training and employment opportunities to marginalised, rural youth. Since becoming a vocational training centre in 2022, SJB has welcomed females into its population and has introduced several new training programmes which meet the demands of today’s local and international labour markets. The school expands students' skills in Crop Production, Commercial Food Preparation, Greenhouse Technology, Butchery, Hairdressing, Barbering and more via practical activities, internships and apprenticeships. Overall, SJB caters to the unique needs of rural youth who lack the number of opportunities offered to their urban counterparts.
Rose Town Foundation is in the business of creating opportunities for the residents of the community. Our activities and areas of focus are Education, Sports, Women Empowerment, Senior Citizens empowerment club, Farming and Cultural activities. nWe have a Pre-School and After-School programme, where we promote homework and focus on literacy, getting each child in Rose Town to be operating at their grade level. We also Focus on Sports by working with the community to form Football and Netball clubs. Additionally we have an Arts club where the children develop their artistic side in drawing, dancing, speech and drama. We offer a wholistic approach to activities within the community for all age groups. nDuring the past 10 years and through partnerships, over 500 people were certified in General Construction, electrical Installation & early childhood education. Over 45 Individuals have received titles for their homes. We have helped over 50 children to get their eyes tested and receive glasses, and have trained women in Information Technology.
Water is Life is an initiative of the National Education Trust. It aims to address the reality that 40% of all Jamaican public schools, approximately 400, are located in drought-impacted areas. Approximately 200,000 students per year are at risk of water insecurity at their schools. NET mobilizes and facilitates charitable giving to the education sector aligned to the strategic objectives of the Ministry of Education to develop Jamaica's human capital. NET also manages capital infrastructure projects including the construction and renovation of the built environment in schools on behalf of the GOJ. NET collaborates with charities, corporations, service clubs, international development partners and the diaspora to strategically address critical gaps that impact student success and school effectiveness. As a coordinating agency, NET maps the needs in the sector, tracks interventions and stewards donor relations.
Kingston Creative is a nonprofit arts organisation started in 2017 by a team of three co-founders who believe in using Art and Culture to achieve social and economic transformation. We want to see the city of Kingston leverage its creative heritage, its world-class talent and reach its potential to become a Creative City, not just in name or by UNESCO designation, but for this to be a reality for all who live in Kingston. JAID is an NGO established in 1959 by a parent of a child with Down syndrome. It is an advocacy organization and a provider of services to persons with intellectual disabilities and their families across Jamaica. The Job Skills Training Project (2014-2017) is a highlight of our work. This program, in partnership with the Ministry of Labour and Social Security, trained 230 adults in seven parishes with job coaching support. Seventy-seven adults secured full-time jobs after training.
Special Olympics Jamaica supports individuals with intellectual disabilities through structured sports programs that promote inclusion, personal growth, and community engagement. Athletes begin training and competing at the parish level, with athletes advancing to national competitions. From there, athletes have the chance to qualify for international events, proudly representing Jamaica on the world stage. A holistic approach not only develops athletic skills but also fosters confidence, leadership, and lifelong friendships. Over the past 10 years, Special Olympics Jamaica has supported over 500 athletes through sports, leadership, and global opportunities. From building confidence on the field to representing Jamaica internationally, our athlete like David Duncan, now Chair of the SONA Athlete Leadership Council, continue to inspire greatness.

The Jamaica Autism Support Association strives to reduce the stigma associated with autism, while raising awareness and promoting acceptance. The organization is dedicated to advocating for inclusive and supportive environments where individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) can thrive. Through community engagement, education, and advocacy, we work to empower families, build understanding, and create meaningful opportunities for people on the spectrum.
The JAD was started in 1938 and has maintained our focus on Deaf education through pre-school to high school level programmes in 4 parishes supporting approximately 200 students; as well as the empowerment of Deaf adults across the island. JAD provides hearing healthcare services, sign language training services, products through a fine hand bindery to the public, and supports the Deaf community and their families through advocacy, family and individual guidance, workforce integration, and community development. With a wealth of experience in successfully managing projects with the support of local and international funders the JAD welcomes partnership opportunity to support inclusion of the Deaf community in Jamaica. The student sponsorship program supports 20 students on average annually and a key impact has been the improvement in school attendance, towards improved literacy and numeracy. In the last year, two repeat beneficiaries have successfully matriculated to the University of Technology Jamaica.

Freedom Skatepark is Jamaica's first street skatepark, located in Bull Bay adjacent to the Bull Bay Football Club, approximately 8 miles outside of Kingston. This skatepark is free and open to the public everyday between 1PM-7PM serving the community of Kingston and skaters across the country. We run a variety of youth programs: Edu-Skate, homework tutoring, conflict resolution, art, photography, and yoga. Our goal is to create a safe space for the youth and the community. To date, Freedom Skatepark has had 364 Edu-Skate classes with an attendance of 3,191. 244 homework sessions with an attendance of 1,030. We've run 83 enrichment activities, with an attendance of 342, and executed 1,410 community service jobs. We've also had 9,802 rentals in our Get-on-Board program.

Founded in 1882 , the Alpha Boys School has offered educational and training opportunities to vulnerable youth for over 100 years. The institution's music programme has helped to launch the careers of legendary musicians like Dizzy Reece, Don Drummond, and Yellowman. It transitioned into a vocational training centre in 2014, and the school now provides high-quality training to at-risk young men (16-19 years old) in the areas of barbering, carpentry, music performance and screen-printing. Students get hands-on experience through practical activities and internships. With many having previously dropped out or been excluded from traditional schools, AVTC is a last chance for failing students to gain a post-secondary education.
Established in St. Ann in the 1057s by Beth & Lenworth Jacobs. Registered in 1957. Advocated for government to include FP in its service delivery. Advocacy contributed to Govt. of Jamaica including family planning (FP) in the maternal and child health services. Our mission is the serve vulnerable populations in St. Ann and Kingston and surrounding parishes providing quality and affordable SRH services through clinic-based services and education and outreach delivered by staff and youth volunteers (members of YAM). Community outreach is via Health Fairs and education sessions conducted by YAM members. Warehouse male condoms donated by AIDS Health Care Foundation for distribution to CSO partners. Serve on several technical working groups. JFPA provides high quality, confidential clinical services to women and children. Clients use the service because of caring staff and short wait times. In 2024 we provided 29,707 clinic-based services, trained 200 health care workers in 19 adolescent health clinics and 60 peer educators and reached >3000 persons via in-person and SM.
Stand Up for Jamaica (SUFJ) is a human rights, non-profit human rights and charity organization. Our mission is the defense of the most vulnerable in our society, advocacy against any form of discrimination and access to justice for all. Our mandate is double: advocacy to promote legislative, social and cultural changes, and work on the grounds on projects responding to the needs of those who do not have any representation. The main activities and target groups are incarcerated people to whom we provide rehabilitation programs and counselling in correctional facilities, professional laboratory. We also offer skills training, counselling and legal assistance to GBV survivors and advocate for mentally ill persons and the LGBTQI+ community. In twelve years, SUFJ has provided education to over 1,200 incarcerated individuals. 80 GBV survivors have been certified in skills training. One UCC graduate states 'Being a part of the program has helped me value education in a new way. Losing something, my freedom, was the best way to unveil my potential.'
RISE Life Management Services was established in 1989 as Addiction Alert, offering Jamaica's first outpatient treatment center for addictive disorders. In 2005, the organization's name was changed to RISE - Reaching Individuals through Skills and Education - to reflect its programmatic expansion to address the evolving needs. RISE delivers impactful projects that align with its vision of building a resilient and empowered society with equitable access to opportunities, knowledge, and support systems that positively transform lives and communities. Forging strategic partnerships and using participatory approaches have been central to its longevity and relevance. There is high demand for our current programme, with 36 persons registering, exceeding the target of 30. A total of 32 students (15 boys, 17 girls) completed the programme in the last year with 83% improving by one to three grade levels. Parents and teachers also noted improvement in overall behavior and attitude towards learning.
PAEF provides various forms of support to vulnerable individuals and communities, particularly in St. Catherine. Its initiatives include offering back-to-school scholarships for high school students, implementing breakfast programmes for early childhood and primary school-aged children, and running training programs for entrepreneurship. The PAEF also provides care packages and assists disabled individuals and families in need.

Eve For Life is a registered non-profit organization in Jamaica that provides psychosocial support for women and girls living with and affected by HIV/AIDS and sexual and gender-based violence (SGBV). The organization focuses on holistic care, combining counseling, advocacy, and capacity-building to help survivors rebuild their lives with dignity. Through community outreach, partnerships, and survivor-led initiatives, Eve For Life works to break cycles of violence, reduce stigma, and create safer, more supportive environments for women and girls.
The CLBL Foundation is a non-profit educational initiative committed to transforming literacy and numeracy instruction across Jamaica. Equipping early childhood, primary, secondary, special needs, and tertiary educators with differentiated, research-based Lindamood-Bell methodologies ensures that every child has access to quality education, regardless of background or learning ability. Teachers are support through year-round job-embedded coaching to ensure fidelity of practice. This is not a short-term intervention, but a capacity-building model that ensures systematic growth and sustainability in Jamaican schools. By adding transportation, breakfast and lunch, books and supplies, uniforms and more, we are disrupting the cycle of generational poverty for our students and their families, creating a ripple effect in their communities.nLocated in Twickenham Park, Spanish Town, St. Catherine, we are transforming the lives of children experiencing poverty through a holistic approach. We currently serve more than 470 students from Kindergarten through Grade 7 within an 8-mile radius of our school.
BBEEs' after-school and summer learning programs are focused on mitigating learning loss through academic interventions and the use of manipulatives in reading and math. Students engage in small-group tutoring, computer-assisted instruction, reading for leisure, science, social studies, art, physical education and social emotional learning. Teachers emphasize vocabulary strategies, reading comprehension, language arts, and grade-level mathematical concepts throughout the programs.

Bonnygate Women's Group mission is to preserve Jamaica's cultural heritage by promoting and teaching traditional needlecraft techniques. The group empowers women by providing them with the skills and resources needed to generate income and become self-sufficient to include women with disabilities. Bonnygate Women's Group also fosters community growth and development through vocational training and economic empowerment. By achieving these goals, the Bonnygate Women's Group seeks to make a positive impact on the lives of it's members and the bordering parishes of St. Mary and St.Ann. The Bonnygate Women's Group is presently embarking on expansion to include establishing a storefront gallery showcasing handmade items crafted by the women.
