HerFlow Foundation

HerFlow Foundation is a nonprofit organization committed to advancing reproductive health, menstrual equity, and gender justice in Jamaica. Our mission is to eliminate period poverty, reduce stigma, and empower communities through education, advocacy, and access to essential products and services. We take a holistic approach that combines public education campaigns, school and community outreach, policy advocacy, and innovative social enterprises to ensure sustainable impact.

Mission/Impact Statement

HerFlow Foundation is dedicated to transforming reproductive health in Jamaica by promoting menstrual equity, expanding access to products and services, and delivering inclusive education. We empower women, girls, and communities to manage their reproductive health with dignity and confidence.

Current Needs

The LIVE SAFE College Tour reaches 3,000 students across 12 campus stops, providing vital education on consent, healthy relationships, HIV/STI prevention, and menstrual care. Support funds workshops, toolkits, and hygiene kits, ensuring students gain knowledge and resources to make safe, informed choices.

Awards/Honors

HerFlow has been recognized with the Gleaner Honors Award for Service - 2022, Canada Gender Award in 2023, Gleaner Flair Distinguished Award - 2021. Shelly-Ann Weeks, HerFlow's Executive Director, has been awarded the Govenor General Achievement Award for Service - 2022

Key Services or Activities

HerFlow Foundation provides a range of services including: menstrual and reproductive health education in schools and communities, distribution of menstrual products to underserved populations, advocacy for policies that support menstrual equity and reproductive rights, training for caregivers and teachers, and social impact projects such as creating reusable period pouches through upcycled materials.
