The school is located in the farming community of Carr, New Market, St. Elizabeth. It was established in 1906 by one Mr. Dan Briscoe, at his home. In 1956, the present building was erected by the government of Jamaica. The students are from families who largely depend on subsistent farming.

To expand canteen, as the current space is too small for even two people to prepare meals safely. Additional support will also help with painting the school building, complementing the small fundraising and community sponsorships already in place.

Canteen is currently a very small space which cannot accommodate two persons at any one time preparing meals without bumping into each other. It needs to be expanded but no funding is available.
