Somerton Primary is in Rural East St. James and began in 1941. Children from in and around the environment mostly come to Somerton Primary, however we have students from time to time travelling from Montego Bay to get here.

    To repaint classrooms and add murals that promote positive values and attitudes. Additional priorities include purchasing smart televisions for classrooms, a sofa and center table for the Guidance Counsellor’s Office, and restarting the breakfast program to ensure students begin each day nourished and ready to learn.
