Pembroke Hall High School is centrally located in the parish of St. Andrew, off the major busy thoroughfare the Washington Boulevard. The school’s geographical location could be considered ideal. Amidst the seemingly affluence of the community, the school does not derive much benefit as it is stigmatized, polarized and ostracized.

    Through parent contributions and a 5K Run/Walk, the school is raising US $10,000 to improve classroom comfort and learning conditions. Funds will provide fans for classrooms that become extremely hot during the day and install air conditioning in the Reading Lab to create a cool, focused, and engaging environment for students.

Current Needs

US $10,000 will assist us in placing fans in our classrooms as it gets very hot in the days and students are constantly frustrated primarily due to the excess heat. It would also allow us to place air conditioning in our reading lab for example.
