Tide Rising Art Projects
Tide Rising Art Projects is a collective of three arts professionals who have their base in Jamaica. Oneika Russell is a visual artist, art educator and cultural producer and is also the founder and current team leader. Petrina Dacres who leads curatorial projects, is head of the Art History department at The Edna Manley College, an arts researcher and independent curator. Danielle Russell who is an independent filmmaker and creative projects manager and leads our film projects and project advisor. Our work focuses on the promotion and encouragement of Caribbean contemporary art practices through curatorial projects, video content, virtual talks and workshops.

We are raising funds to revitalize our public programming for the arts and culture community and broader public. Your support will launch a new series of video and livestream art talks, commentary, and educational content spotlighting our talented, dedicated, and often underrecognized artists and art professionals.

Mission/Impact Statement
We aim to document and promote the practices of local and regional visual artists and to provide engagement opportunities with art and artists for the public through our video content, engagements and workshops. We believe our Art and artists are valuable to social and economic growth.
Current Needs
US$25,000 needed to relaunch our videos, live streams and programming covers: (1) Stipends for writers, artists, editors and interns. (2) Mini Studio Setup including recording & livestreaming devices e.g. smartphones, webcams, streaming platform licensing, editing software, hard drive for storage. (3) Online archive setup.
Awards/Honors
Tide Rising has received exhibition and film project partnership support from Rubis Mecenat in 2021 and our team members have received the Jamaica Art Society In Focus Fellowship in 2023. We also participated in the Business of Sustainability for Studios (B.O.S.S.) Programme through JAMPRO in 2019.

Tide Rising produces videos, livestreams, exhibitions, workshops, talks and printed matter to build public art education, art appreciation, promotion of art practices and exposure for artists.
